About This Website
This website was developed because though there are many G/L/B/T websites online that have some connection to British Columbia, none of them are comprehensive enough to include all of BC and all of the queer community. Also many sites seem to think that the Lower Mainland is the only place where queer folk live in BC.
This site aims to change all that. With a province-wide business directory as well as province-wide community listings it is my hope that all of the BC queer community will find something valuable in this site.
This is about the 3rd or 4th incarnation of this website. The first one
went online in the winter of 1995/96 and was on Geocities. Then it migrated
to the RainbowBC website where it lived for several years as the reference
section of that site. After RainbowBC dissolved in 2003, I redesigned
the site and put it in my own server space.
